The Town of Hanna Council has undertaken a process to review its options and opportunities in economic development.  The process will assist leaders, decision-makers and residents in our community to take charge of the future of our community.  

The Council has identified through the process, the need for a strong Economic Development Program to bring the Town of Hanna into this new millennium.  They have initiated and established a framework and process to provide a strong Economic Development Program.  The first step is in providing a new mandate for the Economic Development Committee.

The mandate of the Economic Development Committee is to explore short and long term development strategies; gain broad community involvement and support; and develop existing resources including community infrastructure, capital assets of the community and human resources within the community.

The second step is to empower the Economic Development Committee to take charge and carry out the framework initiatives on behalf of Council and the community.

As ambassadors and proud citizens of our community, we are committed to enhancing business growth and development within the Town of Hanna and surrounding area.  Our volunteer board is made up of representation from various sectors.  Education, Health Care, Rural, Business and Council are all represented on the Committee.
