National Depression Screening Day (NDSD) in Canada will be observed on October 9, 2025. This day aims to raise community awareness about depression and offers free and anonymous online screening to help individuals recognize and address depressive symptoms. It encourages residents to educate themselves and others about the signs and symptoms of depression, as well as support health initatives.

So, why is this day so vital? One in four people will experience a mental health issue each year, making it more crucial than ever to raise awareness and encourage proactive steps towards seeking help.

On National Depression Screening Day, we’re reminded that mental health affects people from all walks of life. By encouraging open conversations and providing accessible resources, we can work towards creating a more supportive community.

If you or someone you know is struggling with depression or related mood disorders, know that help is available. National Depression Screening Day provides a safe and non-judgmental space to seek support. Take your free screening test here: National Depression Screening Day – NDSD Questionnaire
