  • Keep sidewalks clear and walk carefully-ice lurks under snow.
  • Dress in warm, windproof layers when going outdoors.

  • Stay off roads in whiteouts or heavy freezing rain.
  • Have a plan for pets and vulnerable neighbours during deep freezes.

Mini Emergency Kit Challenge for November:
Add hand warmers or an emergency foil blanket to your kit. Small but mighty, these can help you or a loved one stay warm in a cold emergency.

Those who complete their mini emergency kit by December will be entered into our #BePrepared prize draw. Preparedness is a continuous effort, not a finish line. Small steps, like ensuring your vehicle is ready or preparing for power outages, can reduce stress and save lives.
