Why it Matters
These boards ensure community voices are represented in key service areas—from housing and youth support to land planning and library services. Serving on them allows elected officials to:
- Provide direct input and oversight
- Guide policy decisions affecting residents
- Bring local perspectives to regional and administrative discussions
- Some of these boards requisition the Town of Hanna annually which means impacts the municipal tax rate.
How to Get Involved
Vacancies occur annually for the boards that accept members from the community. Council appointments typically happen in October. Applications are open year-round and information is available through the Town website under “Volunteers.”
