Council Information Meetings are conducted for the purpose of information sharing and Council shall have no power at such meetings to pass any bylaw or resolution apart from the agenda, items for information, to move in/out of closed session, or to refer an item to a Regular Council Meeting. The dates for the Information Meetings are set at the annual organizational meeting and a motion is required to change the date or cancel.
Information meetings are not held in the following months for the following reasons: Dec as this falls between Christmas and New Year. Sept as it often conflicts with the AUMA convention.
