Rain or Shine, Kickstart will be performing LIVE at Hector King-Hunter Park at 4:00 pm on Sun. Aug 28, wrapping up the Music in the Park Summer Series.
Kickstart has been performing as a corporate party band in and around Calgary and Banff for the last 25 years.
Lana Floen has been performing professionally for 25 years. Lana is an accomplished Canadian Musician/Songwriter and a founding member of the country /folk group The Travelling Mabels, who have entertained crowds all over the country. She is well known for her amazing vocal talent as well as her willingness to support her fellow musicians. Lana believes in the power of music and the positive uplifting effect it has on people and thrives professionally when she feels the audience connecting and having a great time!
Lana has performed with the likes of Shania Twain, Tom Jackson, Ian Tyson, Jason McCoy, Chely Wright and many more. She has participated in events such as the CCMA Music Awards, the ACMA Music Awards, as well as Fundraisers for the Slave Lake Fires and Halo High Water Flood relief.
Keith Floen has been working professionally in the music industry as a since the late 1980’s. Primarily a keyboard player in the country music scene, he has worked with such notable artists as Ian Tyson, Shania Twain, Jason McCoy, Beverly Mahood, George Fox, Paul Brandt and Tom Jackson.
He is also a founding member of The Travelling Mabels and has produced all and played keyboards on all of their original albums, including their most recent CD release “Take Me Home”.
Relax and enjoy the musical talent. Bring your blanket or a lawn chair and remember the bug spray. Performances will be outdoors at Hector King-Hunter Park but if the weather is poor, may move indoors. The performance will proceed rain or shine! Be sure to check back for the full summer lineup.
Professional musicians are providing live entertainment on Sundays all summer on the Community Centre Outdoor Stage. The performance is free and there will be an opportunity to directly tip the performers. The Music in the Park summer series is provided by the Town of Hanna and funded in part by the Government of Canada.
