Thanks for stopping by on your trip on the information highway.
Hanna is located in East Central Alberta, near the crossroads of Highway 9 and the Veteran’s Memorial Highway (Highway 36). We are fortunate to be the home of one of the major flyways for the Canada Goose migration and with all the open spaces surrounding Hanna, we enjoy a wide variety of other Prairie wildlife as well. Visitors often travel to Hanna for the hunting and fishing opportunities in the area.
Our community, of almost 3000 is a friendly one with a variety of sport, recreation, arts, and cultural programs. We recently added 9 holes to our already spectacular golf course and a new outdoor pool, both of which are fine additions to our recreational facilities. Our newest recreation facility is Centennial Place, which includes a field house, fitness center, and dance studios.
Hanna has a variety of businesses that cater to both our rural and urban populations. Stop in and let them assist you with whatever you may be looking for.
We welcome you and your family to stop in, check out the amenities, and enjoy the small-town friendliness Hanna has to offer. Should you decide to make your visit a longer one, I am sure you will find that Hanna offers a quality of life that all who live here enjoy.
Please make one of your stops at the Town Office where our capable staff can assist you with any questions you may have. You may want to take home a souvenir of your visit to Hanna. Hope to see you soon.
