Canada Day

Yes!  Council has voted to hold the traditional Canada Day Fireworks display at Fox Lake Park.  So, July 1 will be a busy day starting with a local flag-raising ceremony,  followed by some local events, continuing with some national activities provided by Heritage Canada and the Government of Canada and ending with a grand fireworks display over the park.

We know this is much different than previous years Citizens are encouraged to follow all recommendations regarding social distancing and health measures.

Details to be provided in the coming days

Many thanks to Sean McCormick for sharing this video of the Canada Day 2015 fireworks over Fox Lake.

Swimming Pool

The pool is opening!  Lessons, public swimming, lane swim, deep water aquafit and all the things you’ve grown to love will be offered.  Registration for lessons will  begin June 24 but we are still working out the details.  More information to come, hopefully tomorrow.

An important note, if you know of someone interested in taking Bronze Medallion, it will be held June 29 in Hanna.  Please phone the Town Office immediately.

Epic Adventures

Staff are getting geared up to provide an exciting experience of active and engaged activities.  Numbers will be limited so time slots will fill quickly.

So far, we know that there will be a  morning program for some days and afternoon activities for others.  We will be sure to let you know when registration will open.

Centennial Place

Centennial Place will be opening soon as well.  There will be no adult or youth organized recreation programs (such as basketball, volleyball, etc) but you will be able to book a time to use the fitness center and field house or walk the track.
