The Hanna Seals Swim Club partnered with the Town of Hanna and the Special Areas Board on a project that brought five brand new diving platforms to the Hanna Swimming Pool for the 2025 season. These will replace the aging platforms that were installed at the time the current pool
first opened in 2006.
The Aqua Elite starting platform (as seen R) provides a non-slip surface with an adjustable back foot block, allowing for a more competitive dive start advantage. In addition, the platform provides a sturdy pair of handles that are used for the in-water backstroke start.

The Town of Hanna, Special Areas Board and the Seals, each agreed to contribute toward the platform purchase. The Seals applied for and were awarded the Government of Alberta Community Facility Enhancement Program grant.
The Hanna Seals would like to graciously thank the Town of Hanna and the Special Areas for their financial support towards the diving platforms. This upgrade will provide many more years of success for the community swim club.
The Hanna Seals swim club is a member of the Alberta Summer Swim Association (ASSA).
The swim club consisted of 43 members during the 2024 season, bringing home provincial
medals in four individual events and three relays.
On July 12, the Hanna Seals will host their annual invitational swim meet and welcome the
community to cheer them on.
