The Government of Alberta is asking communities to help with getting word out about an in-person opportunity to lead health care that is being held in Hanna.
This engagement session is one of more than 60 taking place across the province in the second round of public engagement on Alberta’s health care system refocusing. To learn more about What We Heard in the first round, read the report “Shape the Way”.
Collaborating with frontline health care workers, regional partners and Albertans is crucial to continuing to build a health system that better supports workers and improves patient care. The feedback gathered in these sessions will continue to help guide the design and implementation of the refocused health care system.

New Resource for Newborns
While we are sharing updates within health care, Primary Care Alberta launched a new Parent and Newborn Line – a service that refers Health Link 811 callers to registered nurses specializing in postpartum care. Nurses are available 24/7 to offer support and information for the first two months after the baby’s birth. To reach this service, call Health Link at 8-1-1 or dial 1-833-805-BABY (2229).
