Meet the Animals

October 31, 2024

Every animal that comes through the doors of Harvest Sky Animal Rescue (HSAR) has a story. Some are found injured, some are surrendered due to unfortunate circumstances, but each one is given a second chance thanks to the volunteers at HSAR.

Two of the most inspiring stories belong to Chuck and Katrina, two cats who have overcome incredible odds.

Chuck

A community favorite, Chuck arrived at HSAR with a severe leg infection after being shot. “We didn’t know if he would make it, but our volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure he had the care he needed,” said the HSAR chairperson Trevor Kerr. “Chuck’s recovery was nothing short of miraculous, and he has since found his forever home.”

Katrina

Katrina, an elderly cat, was surrendered after her previous owner could no longer care for her. She came to HSAR with dental issues and untreated hyperthyroidism, requiring months of treatment. Today, Katrina is thriving in her new home, cared for by a local business.

These stories represent the heart of what HSAR does—giving animals like Chuck and Katrina a second chance.  If you’d like to support our efforts, whether through volunteering, fostering, or donating, please reach out today.
