One of the roles of the Community Services Board is to review the rates and fees policy that establishes the user fees for facilities, programs and services.

Policy 2025-02 Community Services Department Fees & Charges was presented to Council at their April meeting and approved. The highlights of the policy include:

  • The fees take effect April 1, 2025.
  • Swimming Pool
    • Lesson fees increase by $5 for levels 1 through 6 and $10 for senior levels.
    • Fees for Private Lessons increased to $90 for 30 minute lessons.
  • Arena
    • Minor Hockey & Figure Skating regular rate increases $10 from $90 to $100/hr.
    • Minor Hockey & Figure Skating off hours rate increases $10 from $75 to $85/hr.
    • Adult Regular increases $10/hr from $140 to $150/hr.
    • Adult Tournaments increases $30/hr from $120 to $150/hr.
    • Ladies Hockey has increased from $10/player per week to $$1,000/season.
    • Booth rental increases from $485/mo to $600/mo.
    • The fee to non-local teams has increased from $160/hr to $200/hr.
  • Curling Rink
    • No changes
  • Ball Diamonds
    • Adult Teams increases from $450 to $525/team per season.
    • Minor Ball fee remains the same at $2,500/season.
    • Rates for Out of Town rentals have all increased.
  • Soccer Fields
    • Minor Soccer fee remains the same at $2,500/season.
  • Fox Lake Park
    • Fee increased by $5 for tenting sites and power/water sites to be $25 and $35.
  • Community Centre
    • Rate increased from $655/day or $1,250/weekend to $700/day and $1,500/weekend.
    • Service clubs will now pay $400/year for 12 monthly meetings.
    • The community kitchen rate has increased $15 to be $50.
  • Centennial Place Fieldhouse
    • Youth drop-in and youth punch passes remain at $3 and $30.
    • Adult drop-in and adult punch passes have increased to $7 and $70.
    • Senior drop-in and senior punch passes have increased to $6 and $60.
  • Centennial Place Fitness Centre
    • Drop in has increased $3 to be $15/day.
  • Centennial Place Passes
    • There are increases across the board for all ages and all passes ranging from an increase of $20 to as much as $110 for for a Platinum Pass.
  • Epic Adventures
    • The daily rate is $35 per day per child. $125 per week or $450/mo. This rate has remained the same since 2010.
  • Community Services Van
    • No rate changes.
  • Airport Rental
    • No changes
  • Picnic tables and chair rentals
    • Folding chair rental has increased from $1.50/chair to $2.
    • Picnic tables have increased to $8 if you pick up or $20 if delivery is required.

All the fees are effective April 1, 2025 and will be brought up to date on the Town website in the coming weeks.
