Public Hearing: Animal Control Bylaw

Council and Municipal Enforcement want to hear from residents. One of the ways input is being collected is in person. A non-statutory public hearing has been scheduled for Monday, Sept 16 from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm and will be held at the Town Office in Council Chambers. What are your thoughts on the changes in the Animal Control Bylaw that has received first reading?

What are your thoughts on the changes in the new Animal Control Bylaw? Did you realize that this bylaw has received first reading and it is hoped that changes, if any, will come before Council at the Oct 8, 2024 Council Meeting?

This public hearing is your opportunity to be heard in person, and provide your input which will be considered when preparing and passing the final version of the bylaw. There are a number of ways to provide your input.

  • Complete the survey by visiting hanna.ca/animal-control OR complete a paper copy available at the Town Office. Open Sept 6 to Sept 22. Direct Link to survey
  • Attend the non-statutory public engagement opportunity held Mon. Sept 16 at 6:30 pm. Located at the Town Office.
  • Write a letter and mail it to Box 430, Hanna AB. T0J 1P0.

  • Discuss your support or concerns with an elected official.
