The deadline to respond to the proposed Animal Control Bylaw is 2 days away. Sunday Sept. 22, 2024 is the final day that survey responses and correspondence can be submitted.
These consultations allow residents to learn more about urban hens and provide their input which will form the final version of the Animal Control Bylaw.
the Public Engagement phase of this project began Sept. 6 and has been open and receptive for 17 full days. Residents have been encouraged to educate themselves to the proposed bylaw changes and provide their input by using one or all of the following methods.
- Visit hanna.ca/animal-control to learn more about urban hens.
- Complete the survey by visiting hanna.ca/animal-control OR complete a paper copy available at the Town Office. Open Sept 6 to Sept 22. Direct Link to survey
- Attend the non-statutory public engagement opportunity that was held Sept 16.
- Write a letter and mail it to Box 430, Hanna AB. T0J 1P0.
- Send an email addressed to hens@hanna.ca
- Discuss your support or concerns with an elected official.
