The Town of Hanna has launched a survey today. This is one of the tools that will assist in determining if residents are receptive to a town-wide urban hen program and to gather information on the controls that should be put in place. This survey is part of a group of consultations already underway.
These consultations allow residents to learn more about urban hens and provide their input which will form the final version of the Animal Control Bylaw.
Today, Friday September 6, 2024 marks the beginning of the Public Engagement phase of this project. The ways the public can be involved include the following:
- Visit hanna.ca/animal-control to learn more about urban hens.
- Complete the survey by visiting hanna.ca/animal-control OR complete a paper copy available at the Town Office. Open Sept 6 to Sept 22. Direct Link to survey
- Attend the non-statutory public engagement opportunity held Sept 16 at 6:30 pm. Location TBA.
- Write a letter and mail it to Box 430, Hanna AB. T0J 1P0.
- Send an email addressed to hens@hanna.ca
- Discuss your support or concerns with an elected official.
