Hello everyone!
My name is Haley Nelson, and I am very excited to return for my seventh summer working at the Town of Hanna Swimming Pool. This is my third summer as the Pool Manager. I just finished my fourth year in the Bachelor of Education Middle Years program at Red Deer Polytechnic. This career choice definitely reflects my passion for teaching swimming lessons and advanced aquatic programs.
I’m excited to be offering Shallow Water Workout again this summer, as well as new aquatic leadership courses which include First AId Instructor, National Lifeguard Instructor and SwimAbilities Instructor. I’m happy to announce that we will still be opening at 6:30 am for lane swim on weekdays for the majority of the pool season as noted on the pool schedules. AND I’d like to announce that we have incorporated an evening lane swim on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm as well as a noon hour lane swim on Saturdays from noon to 1:00 pm. These new additions are noted on the pool schedule. Schedules can always be found at hanna.ca/pool when they are complete and approved.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the pool this summer – it will be a SPLASH!

The Pool season kicks off soon with the usual FREE public swim! Be sure to put the following dates and times on your calendar!
- Sat. May 18, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm FREE public swim.
- Sun May 19, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm public swim – drop-in fee or swimming pass applies.
- Mon May 20, 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm public swim – drop-in fee or swimming pass applies.
- Tues May 21 – regular schedule starts
