Drop-ins are welcome at the regular drop-in fee. To see what’s happening, check out the community event calendar and look for “This Week at Centennial Place” usually found once weekly on Sundays.

The week includes various physical activities such as aquatic therapy and chair yoga, coffee parties, games, workshops, prizes, dancing, entertainment, pancake breakfast, and the always popular Jumbo Jim’s hot dogs and Mayor’s Garden Party.

Kickboxing

Use this opportunity to learn this sport from a certified instructor.  Trained through Fitness Kickboxing Canada, this instructor has a goal of building confidence and fitness in this class. Attendees need to be 16 yrs or older and complete the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire that will be provided upon registration.

Limited equipment is required, you can rent the kickboxing equipment during registration. You will need gloves, blockers, and hand wraps. You will also need your yoga mat, water, and comfortable clothes.

This one-hour class usually runs for 6 weeks.

Don’t let the name fool you, everyone should give this a try! This class is appropriate for beginners, we work at your own pace. Kickboxing is every bit as much a mental exercise as a physical one.
