With the Nomination Deadline approaching fast, the Town of Hanna is issuing a final call to residents interested in running for Council and to all voters preparing for the upcoming 2026 Municipal By-Election.

The opportunity to lead and serve your community is here-but you must act now. If you are considering running for Council, please ensure you meet the following:

Nomination Deadline:
Monday, October 5, 2026 at 12:00 noon.
Late submissions can not be accepted.

Requirements to Become a Candidate:

• Submit a Notice of Intent to Run (a requirement under the Local Authorities Election Act).
• Complete and Submit nomination papers in person to the Returning Officer.
• Book an appointment in advance to ensure the returning officer is available to receive your documents.
• Provide a criminal record check.
