Rain or shine, Scotch and Starlight is performing Sunday July 5th at 4:00 pm, in Hector King-Hunter Park.
One voice, one guitar, two lifetimes of musicianship performing the songs you love!
Born in Montreal in 1969 and raised in Alberta, Lisa graduated from Okotoks Foothills Composite in 1987 with a focus on music. Since joining her father’s band at 16, she has proudly earned her living as a full time musician. She formed her own band in 1993 and toured North America for a decade. Between tours, somewhere around 1998, she moved to Hanna! Following a brief hiatus in 2004, she returned to performing locally for several years before joining the Gord Bamford band in 2012, touring across Canada and internationally. A celebrated bassist and vocalist, Lisa continues to front her own shows and perform and record with other artists. She is the first woman to win the CCMA Bass Player award, the first female bassist inducted into the CCMA Musician Hall of Honour and a trailblazer for women in Canadian music.
Relax and enjoy the talent. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. The performance is planned to be outdoors at the park but if the weather is poor, maybe be moved inside. Each performance is free of charge and there will be an opportunity to tip the performers. Mark your calendars for July 12th, when Duane Steele will be entertaining us in the park.
The 2026 Music in the Park series is brought to you by the Town of Hanna.
